Refund and cancellation policy

Effective September 25, 2026

Shortlist sells custom research. Each package is built to your buy box after we confirm scope with you by email, so this policy is written for custom digital work. The price is $2,000 (USD) per buy box. Once scope is confirmed by email, we send a secure Stripe invoice, payable by card or ACH bank transfer, and work starts when the invoice is paid. There are no subscriptions and nothing recurring to cancel.

Before work starts

You can cancel at any time before we start work on your package. If you have already paid the invoice, we refund the full amount.

If we fail to deliver

If we fail to deliver your package, we refund the full amount.

After delivery

Once your package has been delivered, we don't offer refunds. Instead, you get one round of revisions to bring the work in line with the scope we confirmed by email, for example removing names that fall outside your confirmed size, geography or ownership criteria.

A revision covers the scope we confirmed. A new or expanded buy box is a new package.

If the delivered work materially fails to match the confirmed scope and the revision doesn't fix it, we may issue a full or partial refund at our discretion.

How to request a revision or refund

Email [email protected] within 14 days of delivery. Include your order details and tell us what doesn't match the confirmed scope. Approved refunds are returned through Stripe to the card or bank account you used to pay the invoice.
